Systems Engineer - digEcor (Springville, Utah)

Essential Duties
  • Creating and maintaining development schedules.
  • Reporting project status on a periodic basis.
  • Documenting functional and performance requirements for products.
  • Leading system architecture development efforts.
  • Managing the work of internal design resources and contractors to ensure that the assigned project is successfully completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinating product development with software engineering.
  • Ensuring that products meet documented requirements.
  • Ensuring that documented development procedures are followed throughout development efforts.
  • Supporting the Production Manager in product improvement efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology or related degree.
  • Project management and task management skills required.
  • Four to Six years of hardware/electronics development.
  • Two years of project management/team leadership.
  • Embedded systems development experience is desired.
  • Familiarity with microprocessors, DSPs, microcontrollers beneficial.
  • Video and audio experience beneficial.



Intern - Software Test Engineer - digEcor (Springville, Utah)

Essential Duties
  • Develop, execute, assess, troubleshoot, and report on extensive software testing development programs.
  • Work with Software Engineering Manager to develop a comprehensive test strategy for digEcors line of personal media players and supporting ecosystem of hardware and software.
  • Develop test plans for individual components, including Linux daemons, Linux device drivers, and network-based applications.
  • Execute written test plans and assist hardware and software engineers in trouble-shooting to find and fix any defects.
  • Validates software configuration combinations of various components as working configurations for release into digEcors customer base.
  • Work as part of an agile development team to quickly produce working software.
  • Develop test and sample HTML pages to test CGI APIs produced by developers.
Qualifications
  • Working toward Bachelors degree or its equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Work.
  • Proficient with Linux and Windows operating systems.



Sr Product Development Engineer - digEcor (Springville, Utah)

Overview
digEcor, the leading developer of portable multimedia devices for in-flight-entertainment systems and provider of multimedia content, is looking for a proactive individual that has demonstrated the capability of leading and participating in the technical development of electronics products.

Essential Duties
  • Creating and maintaining development schedules
  • Reporting project status on a periodic basis
  • Documenting functional and performance requirements for products
  • Tracking roadmaps for key technologies
  • Leading system architecture development efforts
  • Managing the work of internal design resources and contractors to ensure that the assigned project is successfully completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinating product development with software engineering
  • Ensuring that products meet documented requirements
  • Ensuring that documented development procedures are followed throughout development efforts
  • Supporting the Production Manager in product improvement efforts
  • Limited travel may be required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology or related degree
  • Six years of embedded systems/hardware/electronics development
  • Two years of project management/team leadership
  • Familiarity with microprocessors, DSPs, microcontrollers desired
  • Familiarity with development and procurement of custom plastic and metal parts is desired
  • Embedded systems engineering experience in the aerospace industry is desired
  • Video and audio hardware experience beneficial
  • Experience with Linux beneficial
