Wencor to provide digEsystem™ on B/E Aerospace Spectrum™ Seats
SPRINGVILLE, Utah - June 9, 2005 - Wencor today announced an agreement with B/E Aerospace, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAV) to provide Wencor's digEsystem�, a new lightweight, state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment (IFE) system on B/E's Spectrum� economy class seats.
Wencor's digEsystem's architecture is flexible, scalable and uses innovative system and component design techniques. The lightweight solution eliminates the complex and heavy equipment needed for traditional IFE systems and makes it easier to maintain and certify. The system supports a wireless network reducing installation complexity costs and improves reliability. The integrated IFE system will be offered as a certified option on the Spectrum economy class seat. The system can be programmed with movies, television shows, cartoons, videos, music, as well as airline destination information, promotions and advertising, providing an avenue for generating revenue for airlines.
