Hamburg a success for digEcor; on to China IFEC Summit

SPRINGVILLE, Utah - Meeting with airlines, vendors, and colleagues, digEcor's team returned from the Aircraft Interiors Show in Hamburg reenergized and with new insight into how to meet the evolving demand of the IFE market. "This show is unique in that we are able to interact not only with so many airlines but with many companies that address various facets of the inflight experience. The information gleaned will help guide our hardware and content decisions such that our customers will be better positioned to exceed travelers' expectations. Airlines can expect to see some exciting introductions into the portable IFE market in the coming months," stated COO and President Brad Heckel.

CEO Brent Wood will attend the China Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity Summit in Beijing as a speaker and exhibitor June 26-27. "As a Platinum sponsor for the show, I am enthused about the opportunity to present to representatives from many excellent airlines in Asia several key concepts on how to use connectivity to create ancillary revenue. As portable IFE systems become more advanced and use connectivity as well as other applications, airlines have the prospect of offsetting the cost of hardware and content with the revenue from advertising, gaming, Internet based applications, etc."

In other news, one of the leading flag carriers in Asia, Garuda Indonesia, has selected the digEplayerXT as the primary IFE system for premium class passengers on its Boeing B747-400 aircraft. The aircraft operate on long-haul routes to Jeddah and Narita.

Garuda's decision to select the XT, compared to offerings from IMS and Panasonic, was based on a number of factors. For example, the superior quality and robustness of the XT outperformed its competitors. Additionally, the XT with its elegant, sleek, and aesthetic appearance adds a certain level of sophistication that satisfied the demand of Garuda's premium class passengers. Also, content is tailored to suit Garuda's specific needs and routes.

Most recently, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of Indonesia, flew on one of the B747's equipped with the digEplayerXT. Garuda's Vice President of Service Delivery remarked, "The President was suitably impressed not only by the quality of the product but by the content selection available to him."

This latest successful launch of the digEplayerXT confirms digEcor's continued willingness to provide innovative products and custom solutions to airlines.
